Blockbuster Canada was the largest movie and game rental retailer in Canada. At the time of the project, the company had over 430 stores in 10 provinces and employs over 5000 Canadians. Rental is the core strength of the business, but there are also retail propositions for DVD, VHS, Games, drinks, confectionery and more.
Globally, Blockbuster was the world’s largest retailer of rentable videos, DVDs and video games. The company operated in some 8,500 stores worldwide (including Franchise operations) in 28 different countries, handling over one million transactions per day. Originally established in 1985, Blockbuster was one of the world’s largest entertainment companies. |
